Summary
The Cedar Key Police Department's mission is to protect lives, property, and constitutional rights through proactive policing in our coastal community. As a part-time officer, you'll provide 24/7 patrol coverage alongside a team that knows its residents by name — and you'll patrol on foot and by golf cart as often as by cruiser.Core Duties Patrol — Provide proactive 24/7 patrol coverage throughout the cityTraffic & DUI Enforcement — Keep our roads and waterfront safe for residents and visitorsCriminal Investigations — Investigate incidents and prepare thorough, accurate reportsCommunity Policing — Build relationships through foot and golf cart patrolsCrime Prevention — Partner with residents and businesses to keep Cedar Key safeMutual Aid — Assist the Levy County Sheriff's Office with calls for serviceQualifications Certification — Current Florida law enforcement certification through the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (required)Availability — Able to work 12-hour shiftsCharacter — A commitment to our core values: integrity, professionalism, service, accountability, respect, and excellence#J-18808-Ljbffr
