We're looking for a motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. You'll manage an active caseload with the direct support and mentorship of a Senior Trial Attorney, gaining hands-on experience across the full litigation lifecycle - from discovery through trial prep. Recent law school graduates and attorneys early in their PI career are encouraged to apply; we invest heavily in training our associates.
What You'll Do
- Manage an active caseload of personal injury matters - motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and related claims - with guidance from a Senior Trial Attorney
- Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, experts, and witnesses
- Draft and respond to motions and oppositions, including Motions for Summary Judgment/Adjudication, Demurrers, and discovery motions
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Draft complaints ranging from routine motor vehicle cases to more complex premises liability and assault matters
- Conduct legal research and handle law and motion practice
- Assist with settlement negotiations and mediations
- Assist with trial preparation, including Motions in Limine, jury instructions, and special verdict forms
- Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties
- Meet all court-imposed and internal deadlines
What We're Looking For
- 0-3 years of personal injury litigation experience (new admittees welcome)
- Active California Bar License, in good standing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple cases and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat DC
