Summary
The Senior Sourcing Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day sourcing and costing activities, including negotiations, product development, and factory allocations to maximize profit margins without compromising product quality or brand integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the full apparel lifecycle, from product development and costing through production and delivery.Responsibilities:Own the end-to-end costing process and obtain final cost approvals from senior management.Conduct style-level costing analysis throughout the development cycle; highlight margin risks, benchmark costs across vendors, review historical costing and product placement for like-for-like products, and partner cross-functionally and with leadership to resolve costing challenges while maintaining product quality and integrity.Support the development of seasonal and forward-looking allocation strategies.Manage sourcing-related calendar deliverables and coordinate cross-to ensure key milestones are met.Support cost negotiations with overseas vendors to achieve margin targets while maintaining strong vendor partnerships.Monitor foreign exchange rates and relevant market conditions to identify negotiation opportunities.Partner with Design and Sales to understand product strategies.Educate vendors on product lines and assist in project engineering to reach margin goals.Build and maintain strong relationships across the existing vendor base.Evaluate prospective vendors through costing and development exercises to assess capabilities, competitiveness, and fit with AmeriCo's business needs.Communicate confirmed and approved final costs to Production.Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to drive operational efficiencies.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum 5 years of Production, Sourcing or Costing experience, with a strong understanding of garment constructionWalmart and Costco experience preferredHighly organized with strong attention to detail and data accuracyAble to work well in high pressure and fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaborativelyAnnual salary range starting at $85,000+The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
