Summary
Since 2006, Security Surveillance System has specialized in commercial security cameras, wireless surveillance, access control systems, and burglar alarms. We are currently seeking a senior-level, highly experienced Burglar Alarm Technician to join our growing team.Position OverviewThis role is ideal for a seasoned technician who can independently manage burglar alarm and surveillance projects from start to finish, troubleshoot complex systems, and deliver high-quality, professional service to residential and commercial clients.Technician Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstall, service, and upgrade burglar alarm and surveillance systems in residential and commercial environmentsManage installations from start to finish, including wiring, programming, testing, and commissioningProgram and test alarm systems to ensure proper operation and reliabilityTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to:Control panels, keypads, and sensorsWiring, communication, and system connectivityProvide customer training on alarm and camera system operation and best practicesCollaborate with team members to design and implement customized alarm and surveillance solutionsOperate company vehicles and jobsite equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)Deliver flawless service and professional workmanship on every projectQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with burglar alarm systemsExperience with the following alarm platforms preferred:Honeywell / ResideoDSCBoschDMPQolsysOther comparable commercial and residential alarm systemsProven ability to complete alarm installations independently from start to finish, including programmingStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamPhysically capable of:Carrying a 20-ft ladderLifting up to 35 lbsOperating scissor lifts and boom liftsExperience with IP-based camera systems (preferred)Networking experience configuring:Routers, switches, modemsWireless access pointsNetwork switches and NVRs (preferred)Experience installing, servicing, and upgrading DVR/NVR hardware, software, and firmware (preferred)How to ApplyPlease email your resume and cover letter to apply.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
