Under general direction of the Police Sergeants, Police Officers perform a full range of law enforcement duties, including patrol operations, responding to calls for service, conducting investigations, engaging with the community, and enforcing local and state laws. Candidates must demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and commitment to public service. Minimum Requirements •Must meet Minnesota POST Board licensing requirements (or be eligible) by October 1, 2026. •Successful determination of no POST Board "Standards of Conduct" violations. Desirable Requirements •Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong, Arabic or Sign Language. •One year of experience in law enforcement, either a sworn, non-sworn, or volunteer position. •CPR and First Aid certification. Conditions of Employment •Must be a US citizen. •Must possess a valid Class D driver's license with a good driving record. •Must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, physical exam, drug test and psychological exam.
