Part Time Public Safety Telecommunicator/DispatcherIf you are interested in serving your community and making an immediate impact, we're looking for you!The City of Minot is accepting applications for a Part Time Public Safety Telecommunicator/Dispatcher in the Dispatch Department with varying schedules available. This will remain open until filled.Nature of WorkThis is entry level communications work, which entails taking calls for service, monitoring emergency service radios and dispatching police, fire and emergency medical crews while documenting the information in the designated computer program. Must be able to pass a pre-employment hearing screening, drug screening, and a pre-employment background check.Education and ExperienceGraduation from High SchoolSome experience in the use of communications equipment, computer systems, and phone systems; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.Compensation and BenefitsStarting hourly wage of $22.02 per hour.This is a part time, FLSA nonexempt, non-civil service position with no benefits provided.Application RequirementsOnline Application Required - A City of Minot Application for Employment must be submitted through the City of Minot website.Veteran's PreferenceApplicants who are residents of North Dakota and eligible to claim veteran's preference must include Form DD214.
