JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The IT Project Manager III leads large, complex information technology projects withorganization-wide impact. This position is responsible for planning and executingprojects involving significant complexity, cost, business impact, time constraints, internaland external resource requirements, and technology including software and hardware.

The Project Manager III leads cross-functional teams, proactively manages risks andbarriers, and works with sponsors and senior leaders to deliver projects that meetestablished scope, schedule, budget, and business objectives.

SCHEDULE:

This position operates on our four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) however, withapproval from supervisor, employees are allowed to work a 5-day work week ifpreferred. This position is hybrid, with remote work and in-office work as determined bybusiness need

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $120,000 - $135,000.00 USD Annual

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Lead complex technology projects through planning, execution, and implementation. Coordinate business and technical stakeholders to ensure projects meet established objectives, requirements, and deliverables.

• Develop and maintain project plans that define scope, deliverables, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and resource needs. Obtain appropriate approvals and adjust plans as project needs and priorities change.

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, including internal staff, consultants, and vendors. Establish roles and responsibilities, coordinate assignments, work with functional managers to secure and manage resource commitments, and oversee vendor and consultant performance and deliverables.

• Develop and manage project budgets. Forecast and track project costs, manage expenditures within established authority, address budget variances, and provide financial status reporting.

• Monitor and report on project progress, performance, schedules, budgets, risks, and issues. Maintain project documentation, utilize established project management tools, and manage projects in accordance with PMO standards, processes, and governance requirements.

• Evaluate and manage project change requests, including assessing impacts to scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, and resources. Provide recommendations, obtain necessary approvals, and coordinate implementation of approved changes.

• Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and barriers. Develop mitigation strategies and corrective actions, and escalate significant concerns to project sponsors and leadership with options and recommendations for resolution.

• Develop and manage project communication plans and stakeholder relationships. Facilitate project meetings, communicate progress and challenges, and work with project teams, sponsors, and leadership to support collaboration, resolve concerns, and facilitate informed decision-making.

• Develop and coordinate organizational change management activities to support successful project implementation and adoption, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and organizational readiness.

• Ensure compliance with applicable digital accessibility regulations, requirements, standards, and policies throughout the project lifecycle. Incorporate accessibility into project planning, development, testing, and documentation, and coordinate with appropriate teams to address accessibility and usability concerns. Ensure project documentation is accessible to project teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: 3 years of work-related experience.

• Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.

• *Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five or more years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience managing large, complex information technology projects.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex project challenges, manage competing priorities, and develop recommendations to address significant risks and barriers

• Experience managing significant project budgets and external resources, including vendors and consultants.

• Experience developing and coordinating change management strategies and activities for significant technology implementations.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Driver’s License: Positions that require driving on County business in either a county or personal vehicle require a valid Colorado’s driver’s license within 30-days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.

• CJIS Requirements: This position is subject to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) security requirements.
