About the University:

California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) opened in 2002 as the newest campus in the California State University system. About the Program:

The Biology Program at CSUCI prepares students for the next step in their careers: to educated and train the next generation of biological scientists and medical professionals. The Biology Program promotes teaching of fundamental and unifying concepts integrated with the practice of analysis and discovery. The Biology Program offers lower and upper division GE courses as well as courses that support other majors including Health Sciences, Nursing and Environmental Sciences and Resource Management.

About the Position:

Need an instructor to teach BIOL 500. This elective course was offered several years ago and we are now offering it again in Fall 2023.

Minimum Degree Requirements:

PhD in Biology or Biological Sciences

Responsibilities:

Teach BIOL500 (a 3 unit Elective course: Introduction to Biopharmaceutical Production Operations) in Fall 2023. The class will be offered once a week from 6-9pm. Instructor will be required to prepare all class material, teach the class and perform assessment.

Placement into a range is based on qualifications and experience. Initial assignments are typically at the bottom third of the salary range.
