Speech Therapist - Per Diem*
Description
The JobArrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for
Per Diem Speech Therapists who are responsible for planning, implementing, and performing individual speech and language therapy programs for patients of all age groups to enhance speech-language proficiency and development and communication effectiveness. Additionally, the therapist will test and evaluate a patient's speech, language, cognition and swallowing capacity, considering their age specific needs.

These positions are in the Unclassified Service and serve at the discretion of the appointing authority. Positions participate in the County's PST Deferred Compensation Plan and do not earn any other benefits. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
Shift Availability: Incumbents are expected to work 20-30 hours per week which includes weekday and weekend coverage.
Certifications: Incumbent must maintain certification throughout the duration of their employment.
Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Minimum RequirementsCandidate must possess
all of the following:
Experience: Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year
Education: A Master's degree from an accredited school of Speech Pathology
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Speech Pathologist license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs - Board of Speech and Language Pathology
Certifications: 1) Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA)
-AND- 2) A Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

$134,056.00 - $137,404.80 Annually
