Description

The City of Weatherford’s Transportation and Public Works Department is looking to hire a Maintenance Worker I to assist the Streets Division. This position will aid in the repair, construction and maintenance of the City's streets and surface drainage system. If you think you’d be a good fit, we would like to hear from you.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Shoveling asphalt, hot mix or operating various equipment such as a jack hammer.
• Creating, repairing, painting or installing a variety of street signs and barricades.
• Direct and control traffic while performing construction duties in high traffic areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Two years experience performing maintenance, construction or repair duties on streets and or roadways. • Must have a valid Class A Texas CDL license or the ability to obtain one within 180 days of employments.
