Part Time Tiny Tots Teacher I

Positions assigned to the Tiny Tots program are responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing a developmentally appropriate preschool program.



NOTE: This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Hours may vary and will not exceed 29 hours per week or 1000 hours per fiscal year.

Duties



Qualifications

Education:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Completion of six Early Childhood Education (ECE) units from an accredited or approved college or university.

Experience:
One year of responsible work experience working with children in a group child care program or preschool setting.

Certificates/Licenses :

Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license.

Must maintain and possess current and valid Basic CPR and First Aid Certificates prior to date of hire.

Position requires prolonged sitting, standing; walking; reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, dependent upon the specific task. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Positions require the employee to be exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level is moderate to loud.
