Position will end on or before June 30, 2025. Permanent status cannot be earned in this grant funded position. This Temporary appointment can be concluded prior to the stated temporary appointment end date, normally with a two-week notice period. Continuation of this temporary appointment is contingent upon grant funding.

Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Anticipated Hiring Range

$5,250.00 per month ($63,000.00 annually)

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Position Summary

The SF BUILD Program Coordinator will provide administrative and evaluation support to the SF BUILD team leadership. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with meeting logistics, regular communications with students, faculty and other SF BUILD stakeholders, planning special events and supporting projects in the planning, implementation and evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

A background check (which may include: checks of employment records, education records, criminal records, civil records, motor vehicle records, professional licenses, and sex offender registries, as position requires). Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is preferred and at least 1 year of administrative experience in a university or non-profit organization setting. The qualified candidate is preferred to have experience in one or more of the following areas: providing logistical support for program/university administration (ie. scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, etc.), effective communication with program/university stake holders, collaborators and executives, experience in event planning and coordination, experience with survey development and quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis, and experience working with local communities.

The candidate should have the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects, be flexible as the SF BUILD project evolves and new projects arise, and be able to use reasoning and judgment to develop solutions to problems that might be encountered on the job.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience using Microsoft Office software, organizational software such as Asana and video conferencing software such as Zoom. Experience working with directly with culturally diverse populations at many levels, excellent public speaking, written, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also necessary.
