Description

Our Utility Systems Analyst (Programming) performs a wide variety of process analysis, configuring, integration development, testing, scripting, and operational support for the City’s Water and Power department. This is a technical position requiring the ability to integrate and automate complex systems and processes for the organization. This position will project manage multiple information processes and will require consultation with management and other stakeholders to determine system needs and business goals. They will also assist with upgrades, user training, documentation and security. This position will act as the lead scripter and developer for the department. Experience with Python, including ArcPy module, and Arcade scripting languages are a must.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,758 annually, with a hiring range of $90,000 to $96,400 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Utility Application Services (UAS) team is seeking a collaborative, team orientated, self-motivated individual to join our team. Qualifications

Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Geography or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for education requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Experience - Required:

Experience - Preferred: 2 years of working in a water, electric or communications utility environment is highly desired.

Certifications: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Physical Demands

Frequent: Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed and minimal.

Occasional: Light to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.

Working Environment

Frequent: Exposure to routine office noise and equipment.
Occasional:
Exposure to hazards typically found in general office environments where there is rarely to no exposure to injury or accident.

Exposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
