THE CITY OF WACO SEEKS:
We are seeking a Landfill Supervisor for our Transfer Station. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in waste management, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and City regulations. They should be adept at overseeing daily activities, maintaining records, and managing equipment maintenance. Key skills include the ability to supervise and train staff, develop and implement operational procedures, and handle special projects effectively. The candidate should be experienced in compliance with Site Operating Permits and settlement agreements, as well as capable of responding to emergencies outside regular hours. Leadership, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• High School Diploma
• Five years of landfill, transfer station, and industry with heavy equipment operations experience, including supervisory experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Municipal Solid Waste Class ’A’ license from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality within 180 Days from the date of hire.

Preferred:

• Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License
