What you’ll do:

• Reviews documents, forms, and reports to determine if payroll coding, transactions, and adjustments are correct; verifies accuracy of timesheet coding; makes payroll corrections; prepares deductions and reimbursements.
• Process forms necessary to enroll, maintain and update employee direct deposit and benefits.
• Performs various accounting functions, including reconciliations, calculating pay discrepancies, leave payouts, leave usage, etc.
• Utilizes computer systems, including SAMII, Time Reporting System (TRS), PeopleSoft, MoDOT Management System (MMS) and Cognos Reporting.
• Compiles information for various financial reports and communicates action required with multiple departments.
• Effectively use Microsoft Office software programs to provide formatted reports.
• Embrace new software and learning opportunities; assist in training of others in payroll duties.
• Assists with research and report preparation for special requests of financial and statistical information.
• Assist with other Financial Services duties as needed, including accounts payable.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Special Working Conditions:

• Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
