Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Sr. Maintenance Worker - Aviation job is available with the City of Fort Worth Aviation Department at Meacham International Airport. The work will be in close proximity of aircraft operations. Typical work includes filling ruts, grading, maintaining barricades, repair airport signs and lights, facility repairs, painting, mowing, weeding, herbicide application, snow removal, electrical, fence repair and other duties as assigned. Must have clear and concise two-way radio communication while working under pressure. Applicant must have the ability to operate snow/ice removal equipment on ramps, taxiways and runways and be available for inclement weather conditions.

Working Conditions

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, chemicals, oils and workspace restrictions.

Physical Demand

Heavy Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
