This position is considered AT-WILL and will serve at the pleasure of the CEO.

Position Summary:
Manages the daily activities of the various departments within radiological services. This includes staff evaluations, staff assignments, complaint resolution, and liaison activities. Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority of PACS system operation.

Job Requirement

Education/Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program in radiological technology and six (6) years of technical experience in radiology, four (4) years of which were in a supervisory role.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Valid American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements

Knowledge of:
Modern principles of effective management; modern principles of supervision; conflict resolution techniques; staff scheduling and work flow analysis; department and hospital safety practices and principles; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; age specific patient care practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
Skill in:
Resolving conflicts; projecting work flow and staffing levels effectively; managing work flow and staffing effectively; supervising staff effectively; evaluating quality control; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical clinical setting and use standard equipment, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, hearing and speech to communicate effectively in-person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or an eligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
