Position Description
Responsible for writing grant/technical/proposals assigned by the Administration and Faculty. These proposals, requesting contributions, are submitted to individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental entities. Responsibilities include assignments from, as well as, coordinating the efforts of faculty and staff to produce high-quality grants proposals.

Major/Essential Functions
The primary responsibility of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Institutional Advancement (IA) Grant Writer is to oversee the process and production of all materials related to the grant application process from identifying and qualifying prospects, writing proposals and reports, working with departments to collect data, budgets, and all relevant documents for submission. This position will work closely with the Office of Research and Innovation to collaborate on grant submissions requiring a 501(c)(3) status and facilitated through the Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. on behalf of TTUHSC. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Advancement (AVPIA).

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism or related field. Four years experience in proposal/technical writing. Education and experience can exchange on a year-for-year basis.
