ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Electrician position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- The installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, control and voice systems.
- Using and operating power and hand tools relating to the electrical field; including lift equipment, forklifts, hydraulic and manual conduit benders.
- Operation and knowledge of test equipment; including multi meter, meggers, motor testing meter and high voltage testers.
- Reading and understanding blueprints, electrical/electronic schematics, ladder diagrams, manuals, handbooks and code books.
- Familiarization of maintenance programs, record keeping, material estimation and procurement processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND six (6) years of skilled experience in the electrical trade. Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience. Attendance at a recognized trade school is desirable, as is experience with electronic controls and experience in an industrial or plant setting. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Do not substitute a resume for your application or write "see attached resume" on your application. Working Conditions: Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations. May be required to work in confined spaces or a detention facility.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Class C Nevada Driver's License at time of appointment. Certification for the State of Nevada "F" Fire Alarm/Protection System installation and maintenance is desirable.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
