Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team to serve as a department trainer, mentor and leader
- Provide support for complex issues to call center agents, appraisers and auditors by applying knowledge of business practices, procedures, technology and tax law
- Assist call center managers with special data reviews and other special projects
- Provide support and agent training for cash handling, balancing and other accounting duties

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- Two years of experience as a Tax Agent or in a related role
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
- Four years of experience in property tax assessment, billing and collection, or equivalent
- In depth knowledge of real estate or business personal property
- Demonstrated internal and external customer service experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Five or more years of experience working with ad valorem property taxes in North Carolina
