Job Summary:

The Orientation Program Coordinator position supports the Director of New Student Orientation and Family Programs in supporting enrollment management goals and objectives by enhancing the experiences of new students at CSUSB. This position involves advising newly admitted students about critical information to aid in the transition into the university. Advising and transition are accomplished by assisting students in understanding academic requirements, registration procedures, and university policies; collaborating with academic departments to ensure new students have access to the resources and support services needed to succeed; designing and implementing orientation programs and activities that foster student engagement and build a sense of community among new students. By applying student development and transition theories, the Orientation Program Coordinator ensures that new students, including first-year and transfer students, receive comprehensive support through Orientation programs. The Orientation Program Coordinator maintains the administrative aspects of these programs and supports the recruitment, training, and supervision of student assistants (Orientation Leaders), ensuring the effective execution of orientation and transition activities. This position plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all new students, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary to thrive at CSUSB. In addition, this position facilitates the Cody the Coyote mascot program.

Compensation and Benefits:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,841.00 per month

Classification Salary Range: $4,841 - $6,884 per month

The salary offered will take into account internal equity and experience among other factors.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Position Information:

Work status: Full-time/Exempt/Probationary

Academic year schedule: Monday through Friday (7:30 am - 4:00 pm), some evenings/weekends.

Summer schedule: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm), some evenings/weekends.
