Hispanic-Serving InstitutionThe Department of Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in partnership with CovenantHealth, has a new and growing kidney transplant program in West Texas.
Great opportunity for a full-time transplant nephrologist to work in partnership the transplant program director (transplant surgeon) and transplant administrator to ensure a high level of care and service is offered for our growing patient population in a heavily underserved area that has a large patient catchment area, growing population and increased incident of ESRD. The transplant program has partnered with an Organ Procurement Organization that is leading the field with technological innovation and research, enhancing our efforts to procure kidneys.
Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.
Major/Essential Functions- Management of all aspects of Transplant Nephrology.
- Pre-transplant candidate evaluation.
- Inpatient consultation.
- Post-transplant outpatient care.
- Living donor candidate evaluation.
- Work collaboratively with surgical colleague and support staff.
- Assist in the development of the Kidney Transplant Program.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- MD, MBBS, or DO degree.
- Fellowship trained.
- Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Nephrology.
