Pay Range: $24.67/hr. - $30.83/hr. | $51,308 - $64,135 annual compensation
Job Posting Closing on: Wednesday, December 25, 2024 Workdays & Hours: This is a full-time position working at least 40 hours per week with benefits; possible 4-day, 10-hour standard schedules 6:00am to 4:30pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Field Operations Crew Leader job is available with The City of Fort Worth Environmental Services Department. This position will be responsible for litter control operations to include street sweeping and related efforts. The Environmental Services Department operates critical programs that continually serve to managing environmental quality, garbage, recycling and waste reduction services for the residents of Fort Worth. This position is intended to directly support in street sweeping and litter abatement goals within the City of Fort Worth. This contributes to the City’s vision of the “most livable and best managed city in the country”.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School diploma / GED.
- Four years of experience in the operation of motorized equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Possession of an CDL Class “A” or “B” license.
Preferred Qualifications: - Principles of training and monitoring lower-level staff and pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations.
- Organize and review the work of subordinate personnel. Train subordinate personnel. Interpret and explain City policies and procedures.
- Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.
- Knowledge of data entry systems such as the Information Technology Service Management System (ITSM) and/or a work order management system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
The Street Sweeping Field Operations Crew Leader job responsibilities include: - Operates a variety of motorized equipment, maintenance and construction equipment and a variety of hand tools. Some equipment requires specialized certification and training for proper operation.
- Maintains records of equipment used and operations performed.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned and inspects equipment before and after each use.
- Daily operations data collection and reports
- Dispatching and scheduling routes and requests to Street Sweeping Crews
- Providing daily/monthly operations data reports.
- Coordinating monthly operations and safety meetings.
- Leading and coordinating neighborhood litter events.
- Prioritizes, assigns leads, reviews and participates in the work of subordinate employees responsible for general field operations, construction maintenance and special projects.
- The prompt resolution of high priority complaints and requests.
- Providing detailed and accurate operations reports to Supervisor and upper management.
- Responding to customer requests and concerns.
- Attending and presenting at Neighborhood meetings.
