Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for contributing to multimedia production for Beach 2030 in the Office of Future Planning. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and pre- and post-production of videos, photography, and audio for web and communications channels.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Have knowledge in video production, including pre- and post-production development of digital content Have skills in photography. Have DSLR experience. Skill in creating and art-directing digital graphics. Skill in creating audio and video streaming using streaming services, Flash, Quicktime, XML or other technology. Ability to utilize multi-media technical and production management skills to effectively craft and communicate a message that will result in a significant, positive impact on the receiver. Ability to effectively utilize team members in the creation and final delivery of successful product. Strong interpersonal skills including flexibility, tact and diplomacy to work and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and production personnel. Effective oral and written communications skills to interpret clients' needs and develop program outline and content. Must have working knowledge with Adobe Premier, or other software editing program.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $2,208- $3,950 per month.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
