The Cloud Operations Engineer will be an integral member of the Cloud Operations team, responsible for managing, coordinating, and optimizing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This position oversees daily operations, monitors cloud infrastructure health, ensures compliance with organizational standards, and facilitates seamless integration and automation across platforms. The Cloud Operations Engineer collaborates with various teams to implement scalable solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement for cloud services. This role is pivotal in ensuring high availability, security, and cost optimization within our multi-cloud infrastructure.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Cloud Operations team.

- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Implement and maintain cloud governance frameworks.
- Develop and enforce standard practices in the creation and configuration of cloud resources.
- Implement best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization in the cloud environment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
- Develop automation for process improvement.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Azure, AWS, and/or GCP administrative experience highly desired.
- Experience with automation and cloud management is highly desired.
- Scripting, automation, and app development skills highly desired (e.g. Python, Ansible, DevOps.
