The Missouri Division of Tourism is seeking a creative-minded individual to join its Film Office team as a Resource Specialist. The Film Office Resource Specialist supports the mission of the Missouri Film Office and its staff to attract film, television and commercial productions and promote Missouri as a top location for filming. This position supports a wide range of functions including administrative reporting, tax incentive application processing, customer service, and database management.

- Respond to phone and e-mail inquiries related to production and Missouri’s film and music tax incentives
- Process tax incentive applications
- Schedule virtual and in-person meetings with production companies/key personnel
- Generate reports, promotional information and economic data
- Manage the Location Gallery and Production Services Directory on MoFilm.org
- Complete the Association of Film Commissioners Internationals’ Film Liaison course
- Assist director and coordinator as a local liaison with production companies to provide logistical support
- Represent Missouri at film and music industry events, festivals, conferences and trade shows
- Coordinate and participate in special projects as requested by the Film Office director
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or the equivalent with coursework in film, music, theater, multimedia, communications, marketing or related field preferred. Accounting or business degrees also considered.
- Internship or one (1) year of experience preferred. Tax credit experience a major plus.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Competencies: - Excited about Missouri and the film and music industries
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative and ability to meet deadlines
- Some knowledge of the film and/or music industries i.e. understanding of set jobs, equipment, is beneficial
- Knowledge of tax incentives
- Database management
- Teamwork and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Acrobat, and industry related software.
