A Sr. Administrative Assistant - Billing Specialist job is available with The City of Fort Worth Financial Management Services Department within its Central Revenue Division. This challenging position will be counted on to provide expert, driven solutions to complex problems associated with the billing and collection of vital revenue sources, while providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. In addition, this position will play a key role in supporting the implementation of a unified City-wide Accounts Receivable/Billing and Point of Sale system.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, human resources or related field
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative and fiscal management experience in billing and collections
- One (1) year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of federal and state laws related to debt collections and code of ethics in collection practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Aptitude for system maintenance and technical data analytics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
The Sr. Administrative Assistant - Billing Specialist job responsibilities include: - The Sr. Administrative Assistant - Billing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of ERP Billing and Accounts Receivable modules to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the invoice processing (billing, payment application, refunds, write offs, customer maintenance, etc)
- Responsible for compiling all required backup documentation, billing out timely to meet required deadlines; revise invoices as needed with approval from management including completing all internal operational procedures and processes as well as logging and tracking invoice adjustments
- Deliver a high level of customer service by resolving complex customer issues and inquiries in a prompt, professional manner including addressing concerns to the appropriate manager
- Work closely with various internal departments to uphold the compliance of city ordinance, financial directives and all internal policies and procedures
- Provide reports and supporting documentation for customer account auditing as needed
- Assist with month end close processes as requested
- Perform administrative duties and manage special projects, as assigned/required.
