Description

Our Maintenance Worker II - Water Treatment Plant performs all necessary technical and physical functions needed to maintain the buildings, grounds, and structures of the Water Treatment Plant with guidance from the Lead Plant Operator and/or Water Treatment Plant Manager.

The hiring range for this position is $22.78 to $26.76 per hour, with a full salary range of $22.78 to $30.75 per hour.

This position will be available until Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 9:00am.

The City of Loveland is seeking a self-motivated, driven maintenance worker with strong communication skills who is committed to excellence to join our team. Our picturesque water treatment facility is nestled in the foothills between the Big Thompson River and Green Ridge Glade Reservoir and this position will be responsible for ensuring our facility remains in great operation. This person performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance tasks, operates heavy equipment, and maintains the grounds of our facility. We have a skilled and dedicated staff of certified water operators, technical services personnel, and distribution operators. Our ideal candidate has a background that demonstrates mechanical aptitude and repair, groundskeeping, experience with operating front end loaders and skid steers, and is comfortable working independently and with a team. Our maintenance operators work a consistent schedule Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm and have an opportunity to advance to other career pathways if desired.

Required Education: High School or GED

Preferred Education: 2 year/Associate Degree in Automotive Science

Preferred Experience: 5 years operating a loader and skid steer.
