Description
Job Location: - The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.
Why you’ll love this position:The procurement specialist will be responsible for the purchase of technology products and services needed by state agencies to fulfill their mission. This position is responsible for coordinating with multiple resources, scheduling, and prioritizing work.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), on the Fiscal and Administrative Team.

- Communicate with agencies to determine Within established guidelines, implement proper procurement path.
- Work with Agencies and the Project Management office staff on preparing documents such as IFBs (Invitation for Bids), RFQ (Request for Quotes), and Procurement Intake (PI) forms for RFPs (Request for Proposals). Evaluate and award as appropriate within procurement authority.
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute in a team environment.
- Able to become familiar with and apply Chapter 34 and Missouri's procurement.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Organized and detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively.
- Experience with products such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of financial resource management. Skill in coordinating procurement activities. Ability to supervise and review the activities of lower-level staff.
