Position DescriptionThe Simulation Center Specialist is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Clinical Simulation Center, including programming and operating simulators for scheduled exercises. They ensure that all tools and equipment needed for simulation activities are properly stocked, deployed, and maintained. The role involves collaborating with faculty, staff, and other simulation center personnel to operate, repair, and manage simulation equipment, while also assisting with inventory tracking and data management.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Major/Essential FunctionsProvides support in programming/preparation of all simulation equipment, medical equipment as well as any other similar needs in order to conduct simulation activities. Assists with and maintains maintain and schedule calendar of activities. Provides simulation support to academic and continuing education program users. Performs simulation activities as needed. Performs with Director with simulation user/community education and awareness and center planning and implementation. Maintains Center's inventory as well as orders supplies. Conducts American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) training. Provides administrative support to center staff. Assist with preparation and maintenance of patient simulators, part-task trainers, and audio-video equipment. Support/assist in role-playing applications, prop placement, and moulage set-up for simulation. Provides recommendations for budget and purchase of equipment, supplies, and materials related to simulation center activities.
Required QualificationsEducation/Experience: Bachelor's degree with coursework in a related area plus two (2) years related full-time paid experience; OR a combination of related full-time paid experience and/or education to equal six (6) years.
