The JobThe Office of the
Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk (ARC) is recruiting for
Records Technician Supervisors II who provide oversight of recording, records research and County clerk practices and are responsible for supervising, planning, and coordinating the work of Records Technician Supervisors I, Records Technicians, and support staff. Essential duties include researching, interpreting, and explaining applicable laws, regulations and policies; identifying training needs; assisting with developing, revising and implementing new or revised legal document classification/recording procedures, forms and office systems; and coordinating services and work products with other departmental operations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Travel Required: 1) Work locations may vary to meet departmental needs.
2) Incumbents will be required to provide their own transportation, be willing to travel to
all locations as needed , and work some evenings and weekends. Mileage reimbursement is available.
3) Offices are located in Hesperia, Joshua Tree, and San Bernardino.
4) At the time of hire, a valid California driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.

Minimum Requirements REQUIRED: OPTION 1 Must possess twenty-four (24) months of work experience as a Senior Records Technician, or equivalent, within a California County Assessor, Recorder, or County Clerk’s office.
OPTION 2 Must possess thirty-six (36) months of work experience as a Records Technician, or equivalent, within a California County Assessor, Recorder, or County Clerk’s office.
OPTION 3 Must possess one (1) year of
full-scope supervisory work experience within a California County Assessor, Recorder, or County Clerk’s office, or equivalent.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Equivalent experience includes interpreting and applying government codes or policies related to document examining and/or processing of legal documents related to real and personal property titles, MARRIAGE LICENSES, Fictitious Business Names, and Vital Records in a California County Assessor, Recorder, or County Clerk's office.
SUBSTITUTION Three (3) years of experience performing program development or high-level administrative activities such as researching laws; interpreting and applying rules and regulations; conducting/preparing administrative studies/reports; developing policies and procedures; and implementing new programs and program changes may substitute
one (1) year of the required experience.
Desired QualificationsExperience researching and interpreting government codes related to the processing of property transactions and legal documents in a California County Recorder/Clerk Office is highly desirable.
