Description

Minimum Qualifications
Librarian I:
Graduation with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university, or must be earned within six (6) months of employment.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
None.

Physical Requirements:


Librarian II:
Graduation with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience as a professional librarian.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
Valid Texas Class C Driver License.

The Central Library seeks an energetic professional Librarian I or Librarian II to provide reference assistance and readers’ advisory in person, over the phone, and online. The person in this position will also develop and present adult programs, provide instruction to customers and staff, create online content, and assist with collection maintenance. Adult Services librarians also assist customers with library services, collections, and technology.

Librarian I: $25.74 - $30.50

Work Schedule:
Regular/ Full-Time (30 hours a week).
