The Contract Compliance Specialist will play a key role in drafting, negotiating, preparing, executing, and monitoring all departmental contracts, except for mowing and construction contracts. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, finance or a related field
- No experience required
- Valid Driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: - Navigation skills and knowledge in map reading, Google Earth, GIS, Google Maps, and GPS
- Experience in contract development and contract management
- Experience in contract negotiation
- Experience in developing and maintaining spreadsheets analyzing data and preparing reports
- 1 year of compliance experience preferred
- Ability to work with internal and external customers/vendors to meet project-specific goals
The Contract Compliance Specialist job responsibilities include: - Prepare, administer, monitor contract administration of the entire life cycle, to include review of legal terms and deliverables.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational, educational, leisure, athletic programs and life skill development community programs and events.
- Approve contract payments, and ensure that services provided and funds expended are following compliance with contract specifications
- Develop and manage contracts; developing and maintaining compliance tools and reports
- Research public records and draft various types of legal documentation for the reviewing attorney
- Serve as a support for the Contract Management Section performing a variety of tasks related to contract compliance and customer service.
- Prepare site maps.
- Provide back-up support for park reservations, including general reservations
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports; utilize the internet, Microsoft Office tools; and perform other duties as assigned.
