This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the State Data Center (SDC).

- Work with IT teams in planning and implementing database objects.
- Assist with Design and Analysis of the Database Layout.
- Maintain Database Security.
- Develop and Implement Database Design Changes.
- Troubleshoot and implement solutions to problems identified during troubleshooting.
- Monitor databases and systems for performance improvements identified.
- Maintaining a healthy database environment.
- Ensuring best practices are being followed and implemented.
- Experience with General Database concepts and architecture.
- Experience with query languages such as SQL.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong desire to be part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a positive when presented with a challenge.
- Excellent work Ethic.
- Willingness to Learn.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Knowledge of database management tools, reporting, structure/design, and query languages. Knowledge of how data structure/design affects network performance. Ability to learn and apply technical-related concepts. Ability to follow technical directions. Ability to problem-solve and apply analytical skills in resolving data issues.
