The Positive Supports team works to develop providers that have strong universal systems of support (Tier 1); these are the things that every person needs to live a good life and is the foundation of everything we do across all of our teams. The Risk Prevention team focuses on developing providers of specialized, targeted services for people that have been identified as at-risk (Tier 2). This team also works on systems of clinical collaboration and enhancing Tier 1 efforts. The Intensive Supports team (Tier 3) focuses on development of providers of intensive, individualized service and systems of clinical collaboration.
Area Behavior Analysts (ABA) work under the direct supervision of the Chief Behavior Analyst to assess and address systemic barriers that result in high-risk outcomes for individuals with complex needs. This includes collaborating to perform systems analyses, design and implement interventions to address concerns related to intensive, individualized supports for individual within the DD system. It also includes supervising and directing an Intensive Systems Consultant (ISC) to support Tier 3 activities. In extreme situations, ABAs may provide brief behavior-analytic services to individuals with complex behavioral support needs.
