Job Description ESTI Extension Region 2 Wage Instructor $45.00/hour Wage (Temporary/Casual) Position 2 Positions to be Filled Location: Region 2 - View Map Here The Extension Wage Agency Instructor is responsible for providing training for the municipal extension program - Region 2 in the state of Texas. This position provides instruction and coordinates classes, conferences, and area schools. This position also provides National Fire Academy hand-off and field delivery courses and provides training for annual schools and/or other special schools or courses as directed.
This position reports to the Training Coordinator.
Required Qualifications: - Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of experience in Emergency Services, I.E. Fire/Rescue/Haz-Mat, EMS, Emergency Management, or Law Enforcement. (*Will allow Seven years of experience with a high school diploma or GED in lieu of degree)
- One year of experience in adult education and/or training.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Certified Instructor with Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) or State Firefighter’s and Fire Marshal’s Association (SFFMA), or Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), or Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), or equivalent.
