Description

Job Location: This position will be Central office Roberts building 1706 E Elm Street Jefferson City, MO 65109. This position requires some travel. Virtual options available.

This is a highly skilled position that requires excellent project management and leadership skills and ability to work independently. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing MODDC’s five-year state plan. It provides leadership in coordinating and facilitating the design of new and innovative programs/services including establishing program goals/objectives, program policies/procedures, and implementation and achievement of outcomes and monitoring program activities.

Project Coordinator’s area of focus, specific to individuals with disabilities and their families include:

• Leadership development,

• Employment,

• Transportation, and

• Technology.

Project Coordinators utilize strong verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports on program accomplishments, activities, and need while making recommendations for program & statewide policy changes that lead to systems change and inclusive opportunities for individuals with DD.

Some travel, evening, and weekends may be required.

A commitment to a strong collaborative work ethic, a poised and professional demeanor, and a passion for the success of MODDC's mission are key attributes to this position. The ideal candidate will be open to a wide variety of people and ideas, friendly and welcoming, able to empathize with others while maintaining emotions and a professional demeanor and demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills. Successful candidates will also have strong computer skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, OneNote, Doodle, Zoom, WebEx, and similar online tools. Two years of project coordination or equivalent experience is preferred.
