What You'll Be DoingThe Wake Co. Health Clinics team is seeking an experienced Program Assistant to be an important part of their hard-working team that provides clinical services that last a lifetime to Wake County families and the community at large! In this role, you will provide support to the Health Clinics Director of Operation and serves a liaison between the Directors and the Clinic Operation Managers, Supervisors, and all other staff.
Essential Functions;
- Interprets and explains program information such as: policies and procedures
- Investigates and resolves problems or complaints to assist managment
- Participates in planning and program implementation
- Conducts research, analyzes data and develops program materials
- Coordinates program logistics; may coordinate the hearing process and oversee special projects
- Analyzes data and develops reports regarding the status of programs, projects, contracts, vendor arrangements and coordination of special projects
- Drafts and distributes correspondence and assists in preparing Power Point presentations or other program materials
- Maintains program records
- Reviews program documents to ensure compliance with established guidelines and timeframes
- Schedules meetings or program events and assists in organizing the logistics. May record and distribute minutes from meetings

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Associate's degree
- One year of job-related experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Related experience in a Public Health or Healthcare setting
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, and Publisher
- Two-three years of experience in administrative/clerical work
