Job Summary

CVWD'S Finance Department is seeking a skilled and adaptable professional for a limited-term, full-time position with benefits to support daily operations within the Naviline Central Square operating system. This position will play a critical role in maintaining essential financial processes and ensuring service continuity while key staff focus on the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and customer billing software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing routine financial transactions, assisting with operational functions, and alleviating workload demands during this transitional period. This limited-term appointment is anticipated to last between one (1) to two (2) years , providing valuable support to the department as it undergoes these significant system enhancements.

Reports to: Finance Manager

Supervises the following positions: N/A

DEFINITION: Under general supervision (Accountant I) to direction (Accountant II) performs complex and varied technical and professional accounting work, including the preparation, audit, analysis, and verification of fiscal records; prepares financial statements and reports; assists in budget preparation; reconciles general ledger, bank and investment accounts; assists in preparing year-end audit reports and schedules; and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, public administration, finance, or a closely related field.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing accounting duties related to general accounting, auditing and/or financial management.
Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, to be maintained throughout employment.
