Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65109.

The Project Specialist is a part-time professional who assists the Section for Compliance and Enforcement with the implementation of special projects. This industry is new to the State of Missouri and remains in the building and implementation phase. The successful candidate will be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will assist the Division with developing and improving the regulatory program to ensure Missourians have safe access to cannabis.
Provides general assistance to the Section.
Obtains samples of cannabis and/or cannabis containing products in accordance with established policy and procedure.
Completes chain of custody and/or related work records.
Ensures cannabis samples are in proper condition for and safeguarded during transportation.
Provides and ensures safe receipt and delivery of cannabis and/or cannabis containing products from licensees to Missouri State
Public Health Lab or as directed.
Observes and verifies data entry of cannabis products by licensees to the statewide track and trace system.
Exercises considerable independence and initiative in the performance of responsibilities; receiving general administrative direction.
Completes related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and/or equivalent, 0-2 years of relevant experience.
A valid Missouri drivers license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle on a routine basis.
Experience with laboratory and sampling operations, preferred.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with many competing priorities.
Ability to organize and manage time efficiently.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to adapt to constant program development, change and improvement.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills and find solutions to new situations on a regular basis.
Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite proficiently and quickly learn specialized systems.
