Join our Public Works Road Maintenance Team! If you have a California class B license with a tanker endorsement, your skills in heavy equipment and road maintenance are needed on our County roads. This is the first working level in the Road Maintenance Worker series that offers the opportunity to utilize your general knowledge and skills to identify and tackle issues.

PROOF OF VALID CLASS B OPERATOR'S LICENSE ISSUED BY A STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION .

Education and Experience Required

Completion of 12th grade or equivalent, and two years of experience in public works or construction and maintenance involving the operation of medium and heavy road maintenance equipment such as graders, loaders, backhoes, rollers, mowers and 3-axle trucks.

AND

Possession of a valid Class B operator's license issued by a State Department of Motor Vehicles with tanker endorsement. If no tanker endorsement, must attain tanker endorsement within first six months of employment.

Retirement
The County is a member of the CalPERS retirement system and also provides the opportunity for voluntary contributions to a 457 deferred compensation account through Nationwide by way of pre-tax and Roth payroll deductions.
