job descriptionThe Information Management & Technology (IMT) - IT Business Applications & Digital Products is seeking to fill one (1) Database Architect (DBA) position. The Division will consider current City employees who have status in the Database Architect classification. Work hours are flexible (9/80 available), but may be subject to change to meet organizational needs. LAWA offers vanpool and other subsidized rideshare programs. LAWA also offers a tuition reimbursement program for eligible employees who pursue degree or certification programs to enhance job performance or lead to future career development.
The Division is seeking a self-motivated candidate, who can adapt to a dynamic work environment, to provide database support. Duties for this position include:
- Design, create and maintain enterprise repository and data warehouse. Install, configure, maintain and monitor SQL, Oracle, and cloud databases. Maintain and update enterprise database group's documents.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to find a solution, identify and interpret patterns and trends, assess data quality and eliminate irrelevant data. Communicate analysis results as a comprehensive report to decision makers and others. Design, develop and maintain the enterprise reports, dashboards and KPI reports and includes tools to help those involved easily digest the data, such as statistics, graphs, images and lists. Provide database design and management services, collect data using methods such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases.
- Analyze designs, develop and maintain LAWA data integration solution, using SSIS and SSRS tools to work with MS SQL databases, Oracle databases, and other data sources. And may assign other duties as necessary.
