Knowledge of SQL, R and Python, or demonstrated ability to apply experience with similar software.
Develop data visualizations using software such as Tableau, WebFOCUS, Power BI, Qlik, or SAS Visual Analytics.
Support preparation of monthly, annual, and other periodic work reports.
Write programs using SQL-based logic to extract data from agency databases using knowledge of the various subsystems and databases that support departmental operations and initiatives; link records across databases to create new and unique analytical and practical data sources.
Prepare detailed reports using tables, charts, and narratives using advanced statistical knowledge that includes proficiency with regression, machine-learning, and qualitative analysis techniques.
Plan, design, and execute complex research projects.
Report agency data, outcomes of analysis, and interpret implications for policy and practice.
Exercise independent judgment and initiative in performance of responsibilities; receive general administrative direction and feedback on conformance of projects and products to broad agency objectives and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Seven or more years of professional level experience, relevant/similar to the above listed job duties.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to four years of the required experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year - a minimum of three years of experience is required)
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:Experience working with statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, R, or SQL is preferred.

Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
