The Job

San Bernardino County is recruiting for Business Systems Analysts II (BSA II) for various vacancies across the County. BSA IIs evaluate existing business processes/systems/workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of departmental services. Assignments include studies in workflow and technology integration; projects requiring research, analysis, and solution development; interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff as well as le ading a team and assigning project tasks to team members.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.

Availability: Some positions require availability for night and swing shifts, weekends, and on-call, including holidays as needed. Indicate availability on application.

Minimum Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from and accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration or a closely related field. A list of coursework is required unless you have a bachelor's degree in a qualifying field.

Education Substitution : One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and acting in a lead capacity for other technical staff, in addition to providing infrastructure support.
