Job Coach -Part Time Marshall

This is entry-level professional work developing, implementing, and monitoring community employment programs and positive behavior supports for persons with developmental disabilities.

Skills

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills particularly in the philosophy of Community Integration, Employment First and the equal access to full inclusion.

•Promotes informed choice, self-determination and active participation throughout the inclusion process in order to facilitate a person's strengths, talents and interests.

•Willing to learn best practices in community integration and Employment First from intake to fading of paid supports to natural supports. This includes, but not limited to, documenting on what degree of supports are needed, what type of supports are needed (paid or natural) along with what type of relationships are being established per event. This is in direct correlation to an individual's chosen Missouri Outcome(s).

•Demonstrates patience and compassion and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.

•Exhibits ability to think quickly and act calmly in an emergency.

•Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

•Communicates clearly and effectively.

•Possesses strong listening skills.

•Possesses physical stamina required to help individuals move around.

Requirements

•Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

•Must possess/maintain a valid Missouri drivers' license and as necessary, drive during the day or night, in rural, highway, or metro conditions to transport individuals to a variety of locations for appointments and community integration events.

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.
