Job Summary

Environmental Service's Management Analyst works on the District’s water resources management activities such as preparation of long-term water management plans, urban water management plans, salt and nutrient management plans, water supply assessments and verification for proposed developments, and compliance with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), as well as communicating and collaborating with various agencies to support integrated regional water resources management. The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree (bachelor’s or higher), strong analytical skills, and experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, water resources planning, salt and nutrient management, groundwater management or SGMA.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to: Director of Environmental Services

Supervises the following positions: N/A

DEFINITION : Under immediate to general supervision performs a range of responsible and varied professional analytical duties and responsibilities in support of an assigned department including responsibility for the management and administration of program/project activities; recommends action and assists in policy, procedure, work methods, and budget development and implementation for area of assignment and coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public; and performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field.

Experience: Two (2) years of performing responsible administrative and management analysis duties.

Licenses and Certifications : Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, to be maintained throughout employment.
