What You'll Be Doing

As the Voter Services Manager for the Wake County Board of Elections, you will lead the largest voter services operation in North Carolina. In this critical role, you will oversee voter registration, list maintenance and absentee-by-mail coordination, ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to register, stay informed and cast their ballot. You will develop and implement strategic workflows, tools and procedures to maintain accurate voter records, support voter photo ID issuance and uphold compliance with state and federal election laws. Combining strategic planning, innovation and a strong commitment to public service, you will oversee the coordination of voter services across multiple channels, including email, phone and in-person interactions. You will ensure consistent, high-quality customer support for voters while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the voter database. This role is key in delivering a seamless, accessible and secure voting experience for all Wake County residents. This position is responsible for delivering professional, administrative and customer support to ensure free, fair and well-managed election services for Wake County residents; providing daily supervision and leadership to the Voter Registration and Absentee Team; overseeing staff performance and operational workflows; identifying and implementing solutions to challenges affecting the timely execution of key tasks as well as applying strategic leadership, coaching and cross-functional coordination to guide projects forward.

About Our Team

The Wake County Board of Elections is responsible for conducting all elections held in Wake County. The Board locally administers state and federal election laws. Principal functions include establishing election precincts and voting sites; appointing and training Precinct Officials; preparing and distributing ballots and voting equipment; canvassing and certifying the ballots cast in elections and investigating any voting irregularities. It maintains voter registration and participation records and provides public information on voters and elections. This position is in-person and will work at the Board of Elections Operations Center. We support a million Wake County residents and ensure elections are accessible, transparent and fair.

Hiring Range: 95,000 - 105,157
