What You'll Be Doing

It is an exciting time to be part of the Crowder County Park and Historic Yates Mill team! We're looking for a Park Technician of Operations with proven skills in equipment maintenance and operations, interpersonal communication, and public relations to join our team. Flexibility will be key to the successful candidate as job tasks shift day-by-day and occasionally hour-by-hour. You’ll have an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of this growing park.

Crowder and Historic Yates Mill County Parks offer our community highly sought-after services such as outdoor recreation, cultural history and environmental education, and nature viewing. As a member of our team, you’ll assist in delivering these services while regularly interacting with our community and supporting daily operations and maintenance of our facilities. "> In 2018, Wake County voters passed a $120 million Parks, Greenways, Recreation and Open Space bond. Park improvements are planned at each park including integrating 96 additional acres of land at Crowder County Park and enhancing the visitor experience at both parks. You will be actively involved as we plan the future of these parks.

This position is based at Crowder County Park and offers exciting and unique opportunities at both Historic Yates Mill and Crowder County Parks.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

Hiring Range: 24.72 - 29.36

Market Range: 24.72 - 29.36
