This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy for the position of Administrative Office Assistant for the Agricultural Commissioner's Office at Napa County. The eligibility list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill current and future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.

About the Position & Department:
Napa County is seeking an Administrative Office Assistant to join the Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures Office at Napa County! The Napa County Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer and staff are responsible for the implementation of federal, State and local regulatory programs within Napa County. These programs are designed to protect people and the environment and to promote agriculture within the county. The Administrative Office Assistant will perform a variety of administrative duties relating to the coordination, monitoring and operation of the Ag Department, will perform highly complex and technical secretarial duties in support of the department head and managers, and will supervises clerical and office support staff. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, will be knowledgeable and skilled with fiscal responsibilities, and will have prior supervisory experience.

Supplemental questions will be scored by subject matter experts. The most qualified applicants from the scoring of the supplemental questions will be invited for an Oral Exam (Panel Interview).

Oral Exam (Panel Interview) Tentatively scheduled for the week of August 25, 2025.

The most qualified candidates from the oral exam (panel interview) will be placed on the eligibility list and may be considered for current and future positions for up to one year from establishment date.
