The City of Waco Seeks:
The City of Waco is seeking a Facilities Building Attendant - PT to help upkeep our facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent required
Texas Driver’s License required.
Must pass a Criminal Justice Information system (CJIS) background check
Related work experience preferred
Position Description:
Under close supervision, keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing cleaning duties and maintaining City buildings and facilities according to safety rules and City quality standards. Can and may include other duties as denoted by supervisor.
Essential Functions:
Performs custodial and janitorial tasks within City facilities to maintain clean, sanitary, and safe environments for staff and the public; operates manual and powered cleaning equipment to clean floors, walls, and windows; empties trash receptacles; moves furniture and equipment as needed; cleans and disinfects restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures; restocks restroom supplies; responds to work orders, promptly. Specific duties may vary by assignment and are subject to change based on operational needs as determined by the on-duty Supervisor.
Adheres to all safety rules and regulations; promptly cleans spills and mitigates unsafe conditions. Performs general physical tasks requiring significant use of arms. Legs, and full-body movement, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and material handling. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by job function.
Communicates with Supervisor and Peers, this includes providing information to supervisors, co-workers, by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Materials- Conducts inspections of equipment, structures, or materials to identify the root cause of errors, malfunctions, or defects promptly reports safety hazards, equipment, malfunctions, repair requirements, security breaches, and emergency conditions to the supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supports the relationship between the City of Waco and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with residents, visitors, and City staff, maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information
